Features: Since the proposal of scientific management, nearly a century has passed in the study of enterprise management and development. New management ideas have emerged one after another. However, when looking at the history and current state of enterprise development worldwide, the fundamental question of how enterprises can maintain sustained healthy growth has not been well resolved. If we compare the analysis and diagnosis of enterprise management and development to the treatment of human diseases, it can be said that both have seen significant improvements in technical terms over time. However, from the perspective of practical application, their effects are vastly different. The latter has extended human life, while the former has not achieved the same for enterprises. Why is this the case? In my opinion, the difference in outcomes is not due to any incorrectness in the views of various management theories, but rather because they focus only on solving the direct, superficial problems in enterprise development, emphasizing strategic research, and fail to recognize that the root cause of unsustainable enterprise growth is not a lack of ideas or strategies, but rather the inertial nature of enterprise development. Just as natural objects in the world have an inherent tendency to maintain their state of motion, enterprises also have an intrinsic demand to preserve their development paradigms and exhibit resistance to changes in their operational states. It is precisely because people overlook the existence of this inertial characteristic of enterprise development and fail to conduct in-depth analysis and effective management of it that the implementation of various management theories and methods suffers, and their intended effects are not realized. The inertial nature of enterprise development refers to the inherent demand of enterprises to maintain the stability of their development paradigms, a property inherent to the enterprise itself. It indicates that enterprises exhibit resistance to change, and the occurrence of change is characterized by inertia. Due to its existence, enterprise development follows a certain pattern: when there is no perceived pressure, threat, crisis, or setback (external forces), enterprises will maintain their original development paths and operational models.
