Features: Now we have entered the 21st century. What can we do together to improve our national quality? We think that a calligraphy book is no longer sufficient to meet the requirements. Therefore, with the spirit of exploration and research, and with the purpose of providing models for the application of English calligraphy, we have compiled and excerpted parts of the history of English calligraphy, collected the masterpieces of contemporary English calligraphers, summarized the writing techniques of major scripts, and presented various artistic fonts. We have compiled this book, "English Calligraphy Exemplars," to accumulate rich materials for further research and provide a basis for the study and application of teachers and students, English calligraphy enthusiasts, and art workers.
Although the status of English calligraphy is not as important as Eastern calligraphy, it does not mean that it has no place. English calligraphy has a long history and a process of development and change, with important calligraphers, representative works, and specialized research organizations. As a member of the Western alphabet family, English is closely related to other Western scripts, so there are many similarities between English calligraphic forms and other Western scripts. In fact, some English script names use the names of certain regions. The Italic script in English is an example of this.
