In 1927, Henan Province established the preparatory committee for the Henan Museum, and these bronze artifacts became the museum's first "treasures," marking the beginning of Henan's cultural heritage journey. Some say, "There was Zheng Gong Mausoleum first, then Henan Museum."★Due to historical reasons, these bronze artifacts underwent multiple twists and turns, being separated across the Taiwan Strait for over half a century. After repeated negotiations and cooperation between Henan Museum and the National Palace Museum, Taipei, the book "Bronze Vessels from the Zheng Gong Mausoleum in Xinzheng" was finally published.★This book is divided into two parts: "Discussions" and "Illustrations." The discussions section includes six research papers, while the illustrations present high-definition images of various food vessels, wine vessels, water vessels, musical instruments, weapons, and miscellaneous artifacts. This book collects and organizes the bronze artifacts from the Zheng Gong Mausoleum scattered across the Taiwan Strait. It covers their excavation, collection, separation, scientific classification, naming, compilation, as well as the examination of their origins, styles, and evolution. It also includes multi-angle studies on their excavation environment and cultural attribution.
