Features: "The Art of Witty Words" lies in the word "witty." It does not need to be a serious systematic theory or conventional moral teachings, but it must possess a keen insight into truth and radiate sparks of spiritual wisdom. It should either inspire thought or provoke reflection, leaving readers to savor its depth. A book of witty words for contemporary readers must not only be easy to understand but, more importantly, must have a contemporary perspective, connecting with the hearts of modern readers. This is the author's original intention, and whether it has been achieved depends on the judgment of the readers. If readers of this book can smile in appreciation when they grasp the wisdom of the sages, then the author will be satisfied. In selecting the original texts for this book, the author primarily relied on the Zhonghua Book Company edition of "The Collected Works of the Masters of the Universe," including "Laozi with Annotations," "Zhuangzi with Interpretations," "Liezi with Annotations," and "Huainanzi," as well as the Zhonghua Book Company editions of "Ruan Ji's Collected Works" and "Ji Kang's Collected Works." Additionally, references were made to Chen Guying's "Modern Annotations and Translations of Laozi," "Modern Annotations and Translations of Zhuangzi," and Yang Bojun's "Collected Interpretations of Liezi."
