Book Description:
Map algebra is an algebraic concept that comprehensively and essentially elaborates on the theory and methods of visualizing map graphics and symbols and conducting spatial analysis based on the exchange and operations of point sets. This book is divided into two parts: the upper part (Chapters 1-6) focuses on visualization, which explains the integrated process of map compilation and drawing using raster point sets with relatively prioritized spatial positioning; the lower part (Chapters 7-14) focuses on spatial analysis, discussing several relatively independent basic spatial analysis problems based on the metric space, which serves as the benchmark of scale space.
