Features: Well-known military artist Zhang Jianming has been actively creative in the past, but in the past five or six years, he has vanished from the Chinese art scene. It turns out that Zhang Jianming went to Nepal and served as a military attaché at the Chinese embassy there for several years. During his time in Nepal, he not only successfully completed his military diplomatic duties but also took a large number of photographs. He also held an "Zhang Jianming Art Exhibition" in Kathmandu, showcasing both his Chinese paintings brought from China and his photographic works created in Nepal. This generated significant buzz among Nepal's upper class and the diplomatic community in the country. Local media called it "a rare combination of a military attaché and a photographer and painter."
Zhang Jianming is a member of the China Artists Association and possesses a comprehensive cultural and artistic background. He is not only skilled in painting and photography but also in writing books and conducting academic research, demonstrating his versatility. Since returning to China over a year ago, he has published some illustrated works introducing Nepal's culture and scenery in newspapers and magazines. Two books, "Beyond the Himalayas: Journey into Nepal" and "The Nepal Royal Palace," each accompanied by over 700 photographs, have been published successively. Additionally, he has created a series of new Chinese paintings titled "Nepal Scenery."
