This book is a written compilation of Liu Xinwu, a renowned writer, from his lecture on Red Studies on CCTV-10's One Hundred Lecturers platform. It is also the culmination of the author's years of research on Dream of the Red Chamber. Starting with Qin Keqing from the Twelve Beauties of Jinling, he meticulously examines the life prototypes of the characters in the book and reconstructs the era's atmosphere at the time of Dream of the Red Chamber's creation.
