Features: The implementation of the new curriculum in basic education has placed unprecedented pressure and challenges on traditional educational measurement. In educational practice, the practice of directly equating test results with descriptions of educational facts leads people to perceive educational measurement as studying living individuals as objects, using only abstract numbers to describe and judge the quantitative attributes of things. This book aims to clarify the relationships among educational measurement, educational evaluation, and educational statistics, and to accurately position educational measurement from the perspectives of measurement theory and school measurement practices. In its design, the book constructs the discipline system based on fundamental theories, measurement development, quality analysis, statistical processing, and basic educational applications. It strives to avoid the simplistic and haphazard arrangement typical of traditional educational measurement and educational statistics, and attempts to introduce the theory of dynamic assessment into the discipline system. It emphasizes the use of statistical tools and provides a comprehensive introduction to the applications of educational measurement in various educational activities.
Chapter 1 introduces the concept, characteristics, functions, and classifications of educational measurement. It also briefly covers the basic knowledge of educational evaluation and educational statistics, and elaborates on the relationship between educational measurement and the two.
Chapter 2 introduces the fundamental theories of educational measurement. It focuses on the basic models of three theoretical frameworks: classical test theory, item response theory, and dynamic assessment theory.
Chapter 3 introduces the basic procedures of educational measurement development, including arrangement techniques and statistical analysis.
Chapter 4 covers the relevant elements of quality analysis in educational tests, such as tests and errors, reliability, and validity.
Chapter 5 introduces the statistical processing of educational test results, including the organization of test scores, general trend measurement, hypothesis testing, and statistical analysis.
Chapter 6 discusses the practical applications of educational measurement and statistics in subject teaching tests, intelligence tests, and tests of non-intellectual factors, combined with educational practice.
