Features: The main achievements of this book are reflected in the following five aspects:
First, a preliminary analysis and integration of existing relevant theories are conducted. From the perspective of green economics, the four main defects of traditional economics are analyzed: exploiting nature, factor deficiency, single orientation, and linear growth. The main defects of previous green economic theories are the lack of comprehensiveness, systematicity, and normativity, as well as insufficient normative research and advancement of paradigm shifts.
Second, a preliminary analytical framework for the current state of green economic development is established, systematically analyzing the practical processes and development models both domestically and internationally.
Third, a preliminary theoretical system of green economics is proposed in a relatively systematic manner.
Fourth, the main constraints on China's green economic development are preliminarily analyzed, and some operable ideas, methods, and breakthrough strategies are proposed.
Fifth, the paths and operational models for regional green economic development are explored. Taking Changzhi City in Shanxi Province as a case study—a region that simultaneously possesses characteristics of a central-level area, a revolutionary old area, a national old industrial base, a resource-based area, and an energy-intensive chemical industry structure—this exploration addresses a series of major issues to accelerate regional green economic development. It holds certain reference value for the development of green economies in central and western regions.
