Father: Jin Chunming
Jin Chunming: Male, Han ethnicity, Professor of History. Born in 1932. Joined the revolution in 1947. Studied at the Advanced Department of the Northeast Bureau Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China from 1950 to the fall of 1952. After graduation, he stayed at the school to teach the History of the Communist Party of China.
Mother: Li Zhenxia
Li Zhenxia: Female, Han ethnicity, Professor of Philosophy. Born in December 1934 in Nehe County, Heilongjiang Province.
Eldest Child: Jin Ying
Jin Ying: Medical Doctor. Female, Han ethnicity, born in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province in 1956. Graduated from high school in 1975 and went to the countryside for practical training. After the Cultural Revolution ended and the college entrance exams were restored, she was admitted to Beijing Second Medical College (now Capital Medical University) in 1977.
Second Child: Jin Yu
Jin Yu: Doctor of Science. Male, Han ethnicity, born in Shenyang, Liaoning Province in 1959. Enrolled in Shandong Ocean University (now China Ocean University) in 1979 and worked at the Earth Physics Exploration Bureau of the Ministry of Petroleum after graduating in 1983.
Third Child: Jin Xia
Jin Xia: Medical Doctor, Doctor of Philosophy. Male, Han ethnicity, born in Beijing in 1963. Enrolled in Peking Union Medical College (eight-year program) in 1980. After obtaining a master's degree in 1988, he joined the Ministry of Health.
Fourth Child: Jin Yan
Jin Yan: Doctor of Engineering. Male, Han ethnicity, born in Beijing in 1963. Enrolled in the Department of Engineering Physics at Tsinghua University in 1980. After graduating in 1985, he enrolled in the Chinese Aviation Research Academy to pursue master's and doctoral studies. After obtaining both degrees, he was admitted as an international fellow (postdoctoral level) by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada in 1992 and worked at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, conducting research on high-temperature alloy in aviation.
