Features: In response to the needs of the times, China has currently emerged with various English proficiency testing systems. Among them, the Comprehensive English Proficiency Test (PETS) is a nationwide English proficiency testing system designed and implemented by the National Education Examination Center. It provides a good platform for English self-learners to test and prove their comprehensive English language skills. Although the PETS test is highly practical, due to the learners' own study conditions, reviewing and preparing for the PETS test still remains a significant challenge, especially in vocabulary review. In light of this, we have organized a team of English majors from higher education institutions who have extensive research on the National English Proficiency Test. Combining the requirements of the "National English Proficiency Test Syllabus," we have meticulously compiled this "National English Proficiency Test Vocabulary Handbook" (Level 2). The compilation of this book is guided by the principle of putting the candidate first, providing a comprehensive analysis of each entry. Not only are the part of speech and Chinese meaning provided, but the usage, derived words, and related proverbs are also listed, accompanied by numerous example sentences, all aimed at assisting candidates preparing for the National English Proficiency Test Level 2.
