Features: The "Letters from Famous Historical Figures" presented to readers in this book differs from its person-oriented "Selected Letters" or "Collected Epistles." It focuses on the letters of influential and distinctive literary figures in the history of Chinese literature as selected pieces. The book is categorized and annotated according to thematic content, facilitating readers in comparing and appreciating the writing styles and artistic interests of the letters. Many of them are classic prose masterpieces passed down through generations, and some other works with positive ideological content and distinctive writing characteristics are also included. It is hoped that this book will benefit readers and provide them with nourishment. During the selection process, the author drew inspiration from certain research materials of previous scholars, such as "The Great Dictionary of Classical Prose Appreciation" (edited by Xu Zhongyu), "Selected Letters Through the Ages" (compiled and selected by Ye Youming et al.), "Interpretations of Classical Epistolary Prose Through the Ages" (compiled by Min Zhengui), and "Small Pieces of Classical Epistles Through the Ages" (edited by Tan Banghe). The author hereby acknowledges and expresses gratitude. Due to limitations in ability, there may be shortcomings or inappropriate places in the book, and the author sincerely invites readers to criticize and correct them.
