The doctoral and master's students selected in this book are among the outstanding students from numerous key art academies in contemporary China, representing a certain level of excellence. This series of books publishes research works from graduate students in only four painting and sculpture disciplines—Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking, and sculpture—as well as in three art design disciplines—environmental art, graphic design (visual communication), and craft design (fiber art). Their works include both foundational painting exercises from the undergraduate stage and research papers and projects from the graduate stage. Readers can fully appreciate the diverse artistic personalities in the paintings and the varied research outcomes. The artworks, theories, and academic experiences in the book also provide valuable references for students at both undergraduate and graduate levels who are striving for academic excellence.
