Features: This collection includes dozens of articles by Foucault from the early 1960s to the mid-1980s, covering all major stages of his academic career. Foucault was one of the most important thinkers of the 20th-century Western world. His ideas have influenced fields such as philosophy, literature, art, and other social sciences, remaining highly relevant to this day. To truly understand Foucault's thought and the development of his academic research, as well as his significance in the world of contemporary Western thought, his writings are essential reading. Foucault's academic monographs are often profound and difficult to grasp. To help readers interested in Foucault more easily enter his theoretical world and subsequently delve deeper into his monographs, we have compiled this Foucault Collection. The anthology includes dozens of articles from the early 1960s to the mid-1980s: including essays, prefaces to monographs, interview transcripts, records of colloquiums, and excerpts from a few monograph chapters. The content covers all areas of Foucault's academic research and spans the major stages of his career. We have also included in the appendix two articles by his close friend, the renowned French philosopher Gilles Deleuze, on Foucault. We hope that these representative, more accessible, and intellectually rich essays will be of help to readers and inspire them to read Foucault's original works with greater courage.
