Features: As a regional economic entity with a single economic type of grassland animal husbandry and located far from modern industrialized cities, pastoral banners have seen a higher rate of industrialization growth in the past decade compared to the industrialization process in agricultural regions. At the same time, industrialization growth has also brought some challenges to these pastoral banners, such as ecological damage, environmental pollution, resource waste, and the erosion of ethnic traditional culture, which have become deeply concerning issues. Ordos Banner is located within the Ordos City of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, on the western edge of the plateau, near the Yellow River and the Baotou-Lanzhou Railway, and has established the Mengxi High-Tech Industrial Park. With its rich ethnic traditions, unique geographical location, and climatic conditions, coupled with the recent vigorous economic revitalization of Ordos City, Ordos Banner has increasingly become a typical example of modern pastoral banners in China. The writing team of this book has worked tirelessly, delving into the grassroots level, conducting in-depth research and analysis, closely following the economic development trajectory of Ordos Banner, and connecting with broader development initiatives, ecological concepts, and other key points. They have vividly and comprehensively outlined the development trends of modern pastoral banners. Additionally, they have innovatively given the singular theme of grassland animal husbandry multiple layers of meaning.
