Features: Railways are important infrastructure, the lifeblood of the national economy, and the backbone and core of the unified transportation network in modernization. However, railway transportation is highly sensitive to environmental changes and causes significant damage to the natural environment after traffic accidents. Once a traffic accident occurs and leads to a disaster, it can bring huge losses to the nation, enterprises, and families. This book is the research outcome of the National Natural Science Foundation of China project led by Professor She Lian—"Research on Early Warning Management System for Railway Traffic Disasters" (NO.79970111). It aims to construct a systematic early warning management framework for "human-machine-environment" safety management at the levels of government, enterprises, and society from the perspective of a social system, using the concept of early warning management and standing at the height of traffic disasters. After years of extensive and theoretical research, this book reflects the research outcomes of the project.
