Doctor's answer:

Hello:
1. Vaginal medication: Using imidazole suppositories for vaginal medication is very effective for candidal vaginitis. Clotrimazole suppositories, one suppository per night, are inserted into the vagina after washing, with a course of 10–14 days; or miconazole nitrate suppositories, one suppository per night, are applied to the vagina after washing, with a course of 7 days.
2. External ointment: Using clotrimazole ointment or miconazole nitrate ointment externally can treat vulvitis caused by fungal infection and reduce symptoms of itching and pain in the vulva. Apply externally several times a day for 2 weeks.
3. Oral medication: Since fungal infection can be transmitted between couples through sexual activity, oral medication can be used to treat both parties.
