Features: Have you ever met someone who walked out of your youthful glow, leaving faint traces? Have you ever met someone who stepped into your awkward years, leaving gray footprints? Have you ever met someone whose every word felt like a farewell to cherish? Have you waited for someone until you seemed on the verge of aging? In her third year of junior high, she encountered the most devoted love of her life, but the story drifted toward an incomplete ending due to countless disturbances. No matter how much time passed, she always carried an unhealed scar in her heart, accompanied by a deep loneliness, as it accompanied her through many years. Until that year, she met him again, and the heavy, oppressive loneliness finally seemed to ease.
In Solitary Years, Xiao Xiang is a very interesting girl. Why use "interesting" instead of "personality"? On one hand, "personality" is too vague, and on one hand, Xiao Xiang is indeed a very three-dimensional and lovable heroine. The kind of cuteness I refer to isn't the kind with sweet smiles that makes both men and women tilt their heads and say "kawaii!" but rather a charming allure that brings a knowing smile. Although Solitary Years doesn't have many comedic scenes compared to some novels, the love and friendship in it are extremely real in our daily lives. It might be a bit difficult for children to understand, but those who have gone through those awkward years can clearly feel the compelling tension and vivid scenes in the novel, because these are memories we all share. I think this is also what makes Solitary Years so appealing.
