About the Author: Dr. Wang Shengchang is the Vice Chairman of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and the China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC), Beijing. As an arbitrator, Dr. Wang Shengchang has handled more than 200 international arbitration cases of CIETAC. He is also an experienced arbitrator in ICC Arbitration, SCC Arbitration, HKIAC Arbitration, and ad hoc arbitration. Dr. Wang Shengchang is a frequent speaker at arbitration conferences. His key works include: International Arbitration in the People's Republic of China (Butterworths, Singapore, 1995 and 2000, co-author), Resolving Disputes in the PRC (FT, Hong Kong, 1996), and Theory and Practice of Combining Arbitration with Conciliation (Law Press, China, 2001).
