Can you still get pregnant after four miscarriages?

Patient's question:

At the age of 27, my family is very anxious about my marriage. Recently, my family arranged a date for me, and I feel it's quite reliable, so I'm starting to think about getting married. But I've also been in relationships before and had a few miscarriages, which I'm quite worried about. Can I still get pregnant after four miscarriages?

Doctor's answer:

Four miscarriage surgeries may be considered a case of frequent miscarriages. These multiple miscarriages may lead to an excessively thin endometrium, and they may also cause post-abortion secondary infections, which could result in fallopian tube blockage. Both an excessively thin endometrium or fallopian tube blockage can lead to infertility. Therefore, it is recommended to undergo a gynecological ultrasound examination to check the thickness of the endometrium. If pregnancy does not occur within one year of marriage, it is advised to have a fallopian tube examination.
