Features: Ten years of sharpening the sword, accumulating strength. Leading the way, dominating the field. With the introduction of the New National Curriculum Standards, the philosophy of English teaching is undergoing fundamental changes. The teacher-centered classroom has transformed into a student-centered one; students' learning methods are evolving, shifting from passive receptive learning to autonomous exploratory learning; evaluation requirements are changing, moving from single paper-and-pencil tests to diversified assessment methods; and the concept of exam question-setting is also shifting, moving from knowledge-based to ability-based. The criteria for teachers and students selecting teaching materials are also changing, focusing on both form and content, practicality and specificity. This series of books was compiled as exam preparation materials for middle school entrance exam candidates under this background, consisting of five volumes: Listening Comprehension, Basic Training, Cloze Test, Reading Comprehension, and Comprehensive Training. This series of books has the following features:

Basic Training provides systematic and concise explanations of vocabulary and grammar for middle school students, along with exercises designed to address common exam points, easily confused areas, and difficult questions, helping learners master them effortlessly.
Cloze Test consists of 30 units. Each unit includes 5 cloze tests, totaling 150 short passages. They are categorized as follows:
- Unit A and B: "Multiple Choice" type, each with 15 blanks.
- Unit C: "Multiple Choice" type, with 10 blanks.
- Unit D: "Word Bank" type (or filling in the appropriate form of the given words), with slightly more words provided than needed.
- Unit E: "Fill in the Blanks" based on context and given first letters.
Based on the new English curriculum standards and the development trends of middle school entrance exam formats, the Cloze Test is divided into three types: multiple choice, word bank, and fill in the blanks with the first letter. The materials are further categorized into three parts: stories, science and technology, cultural and educational, and others. There are 16 units of story-based passages, 6 units each for science and technology, cultural and educational, and others, plus 2 simulated test units. The book includes answers and explanations at the end.
Reading Comprehension selects 200 short passages of various genres, including stories, news, charts, science and technology, and applied texts, with multiple-choice questions and open-ended questions designed to assess comprehension levels.
Comprehensive Training selects key points per unit, following the Outline to design difficulty levels, reflecting the comprehensive and flexible nature of language testing.
