Features: Where does the advantage of Chinese mathematics education lie? Based on long-term teaching practice and research experience, the author believes there are the following points:
1. Bestow a broad concept on the "double foundation" of mathematics. Constructing imagery of fundamental mathematical concepts and principles is an important way to understand and apply them. Strengthening the "translation" of mathematical language is an excellent training to promote coordination between the left and right brains.
2. Pay attention to the generalization, refinement of mathematical thinking methods, and guidance on scientific learning methods. This is an indispensable education to improve learning quality and efficiency, and also an education that benefits students throughout their lives.
3. Teaching while nurturing is an excellent tradition of Chinese education. Chinese mathematics education has drawn rich nourishment from this tradition. Close emotional exchanges between teachers and students, as well as the cultivation of mathematical culture, help students initially understand the scientific, applied, and aesthetic value of mathematics, and enjoy the joy of "mathematics being fun." In summary, these three points aim to enhance the original driving force of mathematical innovation.
Guided by this understanding, this revision of the book has been updated, and a new Part II has been written to elaborate on general thinking and learning methods targeting high-stakes exam hotspots. It includes discussions on exam focuses, small research projects, and applied tasks, as well as mathematical appreciation and fun. We especially present these new research achievements in mathematical teaching to our dear high school teachers and students. We hope they will find it beneficial, engaging, and effective.
