Features: Political scientist Xiao Gongquan, while discussing the late Qing reforms, raised a question: If there is no person like Kang Youwei and Liang Qichao, how can their reforms be realized? He also pointed out that every historical reform in China has faced this issue. Xiao's discussion of reform was at the political level. However, his insight holds great significance for today's "rule of law construction" in China's legal sphere. We cannot but say that the success and sustainability of China's rule of law in the future depend on the participation of countless legal professionals. The more the legal profession grows, matures, and succeeds, the more solid, detailed, and powerful the rule of law becomes, like a lush, immortal giant tree rooted in Chinese soil. For the cultivation of future legal professionals, the legal education being advanced by dedicated individuals today is of "unparalleled importance." Among the various components of legal education, law schools are universally recognized as the most crucial. However, the significance of legal education textbooks and the level of attention they receive may still be insufficient. We, at Legal Publishing House, are currently advancing a project—compiling teaching aids for legal education—which may be an even less-recognized part of legal education textbooks. Yet, compiling legal teaching aids is precisely an issue that should not be overlooked. We know that Chinese law school education is not a U.S.-style vocational training system. In such a system, readers have at least completed their undergraduate studies, and many students have even years of social work experience. In contrast, the mainstream students of Chinese legal education—undergraduates at law schools—are typically 18-year-old teenagers. Law school education accompanies these young students through their precious four years of knowledge acquisition, but it must also consider their interests. Thus, while law textbooks enrich their minds with systematic theories, legal teaching aids support the textbooks by engaging students' interests from various angles—through cases, regulations, reading materials, or even highly engaging formats—to complete their tasks. The young and promising, tomorrow's legal talents. Legal Publishing House, in this process, not only wishes them success but also aims to assist them in achieving it.
