The entire series is accompanied by CD-ROMs. "Chinese Textbook 1" is the first volume of this series, designed for children aged five and six who are beginners. Its features include vivid and catchy language, simplicity, and being richly illustrated. The book contains 11 lessons, with 84 new characters, and is intended for 12-14 teaching hours (each hour lasting 1.5 hours). Upon completing this volume, students will be able to recognize and read simple Chinese characters, practice writing the strokes and stroke order of characters, and gain a basic understanding and appreciation of Chinese as a pictographic language.
