Unlike the situation in the book, in reality, there was no medical facility near Qiqihar in Northeast China at that time. However, research shows that there was one about 300 miles south of Qiqihar, and there were also several other lesser-known facilities. Tens of thousands of prisoners from different ethnic groups were used by the Japanese for human experiments. Unfortunately, in reality, no one truly escaped from those hellholes, and no one survived the war to serve as a historical witness to those inhumane experiences. More than half a century later, most of the eyewitnesses and participants of the war have passed away, and many of the documents from that time have been destroyed, either intentionally or unintentionally. The purpose of writing this book is to once again give the world a glimpse of that history and relive the patriotic spirit of the Chinese people. The crimes Japan committed in China and Asia are unforgivable and should not be forgotten. Just as the Holocaust in Europe once occurred, all of this should serve as a warning bell for future generations.
