Features: This textbook is divided into chapters according to the various specialties within clinical laboratory medicine. Each chapter is divided into three sections:
Section 1 covers fundamental theories, discussing the basic theories related to the chapter, such as physiology, biochemistry, immunology, hematology, and microbiology.
Section 2 focuses on essential knowledge, primarily addressing the intrinsic connections between the chapter and clinical diagnosis and treatment, as well as their clinical significance.
Section 3 introduces commonly used techniques, methods, and procedures in clinical laboratory practice.
With the development of clinical laboratory medicine, its fundamental theories, essential knowledge, and basic techniques are also evolving. Therefore, during this revision, we have removed outdated or obsolete content while adding new fundamental theories, knowledge, and techniques.
Given the foundational and critical role of morphological testing in clinical laboratory medicine, coupled with the limited exposure of some young laboratory professionals to morphology, this textbook has been specifically enriched with additional morphological illustrations to encourage greater attention to morphological examinations within the field.
