Features: This book is compiled based on the teaching needs of higher education institutions to cultivate talents for the 21st century. It focuses on signal processing, with an emphasis on the concepts, principles, implementation, and applications of digital signal processing. The book is divided into 9 chapters. Chapter 1 discusses the discretization and reconstruction processes of analog signals; Chapters 2 to 6 explore the principles and implementation of digital signal processing, including the concepts and properties of discrete-time signals and systems, various representations of discrete-time systems (difference equations, system functions, frequency response) and their relationships, the Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT), the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), and common implementation forms of digital filters. Chapter 7 discusses several applications of signal processing (digital waveform generators, audio effect generators, signal enhancement, and noise reduction). Chapters 8 and 9 primarily discuss the design techniques for Infinite Impulse Response (IIR) digital filters and Finite Impulse Response (FIR) digital filters. In the appendix, an introduction to signal processing based on MATLAB and commonly used functions are provided to facilitate students in analyzing signals and simulating signal processing algorithms during their learning process. This book can serve as a textbook for the "Principles of Signal Processing" course in higher education institutions and is suitable for students in different fields such as electronic engineering, communication engineering, computer technology, and automatic control. It can also be used for self-study and reference by professionals engaged in information processing.
