The book consists of four volumes, written in a question-and-answer format, providing detailed discussions on the Six Channels and Five Zang-Fu Organs, the Four Diagnostic Methods and Eight Guiding Principles, the appropriateness of medication, the benefits and drawbacks of dietary choices, and the methods for preventing illness and prolonging life. Liang's teachings not only included his own medical insights and family-inherited medical knowledge but also included critiques of predecessors, with insightful analysis, straightforward language, and theories closely tied to practical application, contributing to the advancement of traditional Chinese medicine. This edition is based on the 1895 (Yiwei) stone-printed edition by Ren's Studio in Taiyuan during the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty, with reference to the 1962 February lead-printed edition by Gansu People's Publishing House, and has been carefully organized and annotated. It is suitable for clinical and theoretical researchers of traditional Chinese medicine, students of secondary and higher TCM schools,, and practitioners of integrated Chinese and Western medicine.
