Chapters 1 and 2 are the general knowledge sections of Chinese tourism geography. Chapter 1 mainly introduces the geographical background, basic characteristics, and general classification of the formation of Chinese tourism resources; Chapter 2 primarily explains the classification of tourism land types in our country, major tourism areas, their passenger flow and transportation geography, and the resulting regionalization of Chinese tourism geography. Chapters 3 to 14 are the regional knowledge sections of Chinese tourism geography, elaborating on 12 major tourism regions and 34 provincial-level administrative regions. Each tourism region starts with its overall tourism geographical environment, the categories of tourism resources, and the spatial pattern of tourism, followed by an introduction to the distribution, characteristics, and key tourism areas of each provincial region, as well as the hub cities, tourism transportation, and special tourism projects. In addition to being based on the fundamental principles and logical connections of regional tourism geography knowledge and meeting the industry application needs of vocational tourism majors, the textbook strives to organize the knowledge structure system of Chinese tourism geography as a whole, with a focus on highlighting the characteristics of regionalization.
