What should be done after suffering from ovarian inflammation?

Patient's question:

Because I was infertile after marriage, I was just diagnosed with ovarian inflammation now. But except for irregular menstruation, I don't have any special symptoms. As a patient with ovarian inflammation, what should I do after being diagnosed with it?

Doctor's answer:

1. Infertility: Due to pelvic inflammation leading to an increase in inflammatory secretions in the reproductive tract, which affects sperm survival and movement; fallopian tube blockage and hydrosalpinx, preventing the reunion of sperm and egg; ovarian adhesion tightly wrapping around the ovary, causing ovulation disorders or the fallopian tube unable to pick up the egg; ovarian function damage, leading to inability to menopause and menstrual disorders.
2. Chronic Ovarian Inflammation: Symptoms include discomfort and pain in the lumbosacral region, a sense of fullness and pressure in the rectum, poor appetite, general fatigue and weakness, poor mental state, changes in menstruation (most commonly an increase in menstrual flow), and even lower abdominal masses.
3. Acute Ovarian Inflammation: Fever can reach above 38°C, often preceded by chills. Abdominal pain is typically severe, bilateral lower abdominal pain with tenderness, sometimes one side is more painful than the other.
