What methods are better for treating appendicitis?

Patient's question:

I have had appendicitis for a while now and have taken some medication, but it hasn't fully recovered. What methods are good for treating appendicitis?

Doctor's answer:

Western medicine treatment.
1. Antibiotic therapy. For patients with obvious symptoms, antibiotics should be used first. Antibiotics can eliminate residual pathogenic bacteria and prevent acute recurrence. Commonly used drugs still include penicillin, gentamicin, metronidazole, etc., with the same usage as in acute tubo-ovarian abscess and pelvic peritonitis.
2. Tissue therapy. Such as placental tissue fluid, placental globulin, administered via intramuscular injection, once daily or every other day, with 15 doses constituting one course.
3. Physical therapy. Warm, benign stimulation can enhance pelvic blood circulation, stabilize the nutritional state of local tissues, and facilitate the absorption and resolution of inflammation. Common physical therapies include shortwave, ultrashortwave, infrared rays, audiofrequency, and iontophoresis. However, physical therapy should not be used if the body temperature is below 37.5°C or if the patient has genital tuberculosis.
4. Other medications.
