How should tubal hydrops be treated?

Patient's question:

Hydrosalpinx has been present for many years, and treatment has been ongoing throughout this period. Now that I am getting older, I really hope to have a child of my own as soon as possible, so I am quite anxious. Could you please advise on the best treatment for hydrosalpinx?

Doctor's answer:

If the amount of fluid in the fallopian tubes is relatively small, conservative treatment can be used. The treatment methods are the same as those for chronic tubo-ovarian inflammation, combining surgical and traditional Chinese medicine approaches to implement syndrome differentiation and treatment. Sometimes, the fluid-filled fallopian tubes are adhered to the ovaries and are interconnected with follicular cysts in the ovaries, forming tubo-ovarian cysts. If the amount of fluid in the fallopian tubes is large, or if a significant tubo-ovarian cyst has formed, the protective treatment is generally ineffective, and surgical treatment should be considered. Fallopian tube fluid accumulation is often bilateral and rarely adheres to surrounding tissues.
