Since joining the WTO, China's economic, trade, and cultural exchanges with countries around the world have increased, and the scope of involvement has continuously broadened. To meet the needs of the situation, we have compiled this book, "Direct Access to WTO Japanese Tourism - Business and Trade Conversation Manual." The book is divided into two parts: the Upper Part and the Lower Part. The Upper Part focuses on tourism and sightseeing content, while the Lower Part focuses on economic and trade content. The Upper Part consists of 10 lessons with 50 topics, mainly including air travel, entry and exit, accommodation, dining, sightseeing, shopping, getting a ride, shopping, at the bank, at the post office, at the hospital, and communication, among others. The Lower Part consists of 16 lessons with 40 topics, mainly including visiting factories, inquiring about prices, bargaining, visiting companies, ordering, introducing products, payment, signing contracts, negotiations, delivery schedules, claims, insurance, packaging, business calls, compensation trade, and tenders, among others. For the structure of each lesson, we have designed it as follows: First, we divide the content of each lesson into several topics around the title based on actual situations. Each topic includes dialogue, explanation, and vocabulary. At the end of each lesson, we have set comprehensive related words and Chinese usage examples. The book includes some WTO and business-related small knowledge. During the writing process, we strive to make the book have the following characteristics: 1. Natural, standardized, and practical language. The selected language focuses on authenticity, avoiding translation-style expressions; accuracy in grammar and alignment with social and cultural norms; and the use of vivid and frequently used words. 2. Clear and easy-to-understand explanations. The explanations are primarily reflected in the explanation section, where the selection of content emphasizes targeting, focusing on those aspects that are difficult for Chinese-native Japanese learners to understand or prone to misuse, and explaining them through examples and comparisons. 3. Rich content and abundant information. To expand the book's content as much as possible, we not only focus on expanding topics but also increase the information volume through related words, Chinese usage examples, and small knowledge, making the book have a dictionary value. During the writing process, we referred to some related books, and we list these book titles at the end of the book, expressing our sincere gratitude to the authors and publishers. From the planning to the completion, the book has been guided by Ms. Song Jinxiu of Dalian University of Technology Press throughout. Without her hard work, this book would not have been published. Here, we extend our deepest thanks to her.
