At the grassroots level, Chinese society is rural in nature. I say that the foundation of Chinese society is rural because I have considered that a layer of society has grown from this foundation, which is relatively different from the rural grassroots. In the contemporary world, we can see everywhere how men and women form marital relationships, have children, and jointly raise them to adulthood. I will refer to this set of activities as the "reproductive system." The term "reproductive system" is a new coinage, so I must first explain its meaning.
