Patient's question:
Hydrosalpinx has been present for many years, and treatment has been ongoing throughout this period. Now that I am getting older, I really hope to have my own child as soon as possible, so I am quite anxious. Could you please explain what causes hydrosalpinx to occur?Doctor's answer:
Hydrosalpinx refers to a relatively common type of chronic tubal inflammation. After tubal inflammation, or due to adhesion locking, the secretory fluid of the mucosal cells accumulates in the lumen, or because of recurrent tubal inflammation leading to adhesion at the isthmus and fimbriae, blockage occurs, forming tubal abscess. When the pus cells in the lumen are digested, a watery liquid is obtained.1. Tubal abscess in women: Generally refers to the compression and complete removal of pus cells and purulent tissue originally in the lumen, causing the pus to gradually transform into clear watery fluid, leading to hydrosalpinx.
2. Hydrosalpinx caused by surgery in women: Accidental surgery can result in hydrosalpinx.
