This book is a collection of love letters by the renowned writer and translator Feng Yidai and his second wife, Huang Zongying. The collection includes nearly 300 love letters exchanged between the two. In these 400,000-character letters, emotions and knowledge are two key elements. Feng Yidai and Huang Zongying expressed their longing for each other in the letters, with the passion and romance in their words even more intense than that of young lovers. Another major theme in the letters was the exchange of knowledge. The couple discussed literature, English, newly learned knowledge, and their views on life. Although these were love letters, the content was rich and frequent, with sometimes three letters written in a single day. In one letter, Feng Yidai described his feelings as follows: "Receiving your four letters over three consecutive days brought me great joy. What could be more wonderful than reading your heart?"
