Publish Date: 2002-10-01
Features: The written speeches by the author Shi Tiesheng possess unique charm. His reflections and soliloquies can be regarded as another form of speech, hence this book titled "Collected Speeches" holds special significance. The publication of these speeches will, in a broader sense, restore the intellectual demeanor and oratorical style of the novelist. With the participation of a wider readership, "The Novelist's Platform" has acquired new time, space, and personalities. —"The Novelist's Platform" is not merely for "novelists." The establishment of this platform aims to highlight the obscured meanings of novelists. The novelists who deliver speeches on this platform are truly "outstanding" and may even be deemed "great" writers. The terms "outstanding" or "great" might be initially rejected or criticized by some, or may even provoke and condemnation from a significant portion of the public. However, we believe that future literary history will record it this way.
