Features: The "He Shaoji Dictionary" is a dictionary that organizes the writings of the Qing Dynasty calligrapher He Shaoji. To collect the texts, as many as 145 types of literature were searched, and a significant amount of handwritten materials were gathered. In the early stages of editing, we initially selected over 43,000 characters and classified them according to various character heads. Later, after comparing and contrasting similar fonts and calligraphic styles within the same source, a selected portion was chosen. The main features of the "He Shaoji Dictionary" are as follows: The arrangement of character heads follows the principles of the Kangxi Dictionary, with 3,830 character heads carefully selected. The examples provided for each character exceed 24,000. Under each entry, the text is sequentially collected in different fonts such as regular script, running script, cursive script, and clerical script, with the source of each font clearly marked. As for the origins of these texts, we referred to previously recorded materials. The size of the characters is generally based on the standard dimensions of diaries, poems, and connected sentences. In addition, most of the texts have been reduced in size. However, the reduction rate may vary depending on different situations. To facilitate users, and are added at the end of the volume. This book collects approximately 44,000 characters in total. Led by Mr. Seita Goyota, one of He Shaoji's disciples, a dozen disciples regularly collected materials and classified them according to different radicals and stroke counts before editing the book.
