Features: China is a country with a long history of poetry. This land has produced an immense number of renowned poetic masterpieces, which have been widely circulated in past eras and continue to be cherished by readers today. To popularize ancient poetry, numerous anthologies have been published, each with its own unique characteristics due to different selection criteria and annotation methods. The selection of works in this book focuses on both their ideological content and artistic value, with a particular emphasis on the concept of "excellence." Only the finest pieces and masterpieces have been chosen. Of course, for the convenience of readers, the selection has been further refined, featuring only 274 poems and 267 ci poems. The book is divided into two parts: "Poetry Selection" and "Ci Selection." To provide a historical context, the works are arranged in chronological order by the authors' time periods. The annotations are concise and clear, primarily aimed at resolving ambiguities in words and phrases. For more challenging passages, explanatory notes are provided. Author biographies are arranged chronologically and compiled at the end of the book for easy reference. During the compilation and annotation process, references were made to the achievements of predecessors and contemporary scholars. To avoid unnecessary details, specific citations are omitted, and sincere gratitude is expressed here! Due to limited expertise, there may be imperfections in the selection and annotations. We hope to receive constructive feedback from readers.
