Can a woman with ectopic pregnancy have a child?

Patient's question:

Female, 29 years old. I am not married, but I found out I am pregnant. What's worse is that a hospital check revealed it to be an ectopic pregnancy. I didn't plan on having this child in the first place, but now the check shows it's an ectopic pregnancy. I've heard that ectopic pregnancies can affect future fertility and may even be fatal. I'm really scared. Please ask: Is there a way to have a child if you have an ectopic pregnancy?

Doctor's answer:

After tubal ligation, if you still want to get pregnant again, you can undergo tubal recanalization surgery. Ectopic pregnancy is possible, with the shortest period not being less than 6 months, and it usually takes about 9 months. It is recommended to undergo related examinations such as tubal contrast imaging to diagnose how the fallopian tubes are (patent), and to rule out gynecological inflammation such as pelvic inflammatory disease and peritonitis. If there is inflammation, if you get pregnant again before the inflammation is fully resolved, it may lead to recurrent ectopic pregnancy due to the inflammation causing the fallopian tubes to become blocked.
