Symptoms are milder in the morning and worsen in the afternoon and as dusk approaches. Symptoms also include dry mouth and throat, red lips, light cough without phlegm, flushed cheeks in the afternoon, fatigue, and a feeling of internal heat. In cases of kidney deficiency, symptoms may include soreness in the waist and knees, restlessness, neurasthenia, dizziness, blurred vision, and a dizzy, dry mouth.
Treatment for chronic pharyngitis:
- Ophiopogon japonicus 10g, Belamcanda chinensis 5g, Lonicera japonica 10g, Bauhinia variegata 5g, Platycodon grandiflorum 5g, and Glycyrrhiza uralensis 5g.
