Infertility should undergo which projects and examinations in the hospital

Patient's question:

A 39-year-old woman who has been married for 5 years without children. Relatives and friends all laugh at me, saying I have infertility. So tomorrow, I plan to go to the hospital with my husband for a check-up. I don't know what tests are needed for infertility? What tests should be done for infertility at the hospital?

Doctor's answer:

Generally, if a couple has not used contraception for more than a year and remains infertile, they should undergo medical examination. The male partner should abstain from sex for 3-5 days and have a routine semen analysis. The female partner should have her endocrine levels checked using electrochemical luminescence during the 3-5 days of her menstrual period; a vaginal mirror examination, dynamic digital hysterosalpingography, and 4D color vaginal ultrasound should be performed 3-5 days after the menstrual period ends. The examination can include: 1) reproductive system check, 2) fallopian tube patency test, 3) endometrial examination, 4) chromosomal examination, 5) determining whether ovulation occurs and predicting the ovulation period, and 6) endocrine function testing, among others.
