Zhou Yu's Train

Author: Pang Xiaowei
Publisher:
Publication Date: 2002-08-01
Features: This book records the behind-the-scenes documentary of the making of the film "Zhou Yu's Train." The documentary is enjoyable, as it differs from the movie by documenting the stories behind the story of the film. It can show the audience how the movie, a scene, or a shot was completed. Its content is authentic, vivid, rich, and interesting, satisfying people's curiosity and witnessing the process of the film's creation. On the other hand, the photographs offer a different perspective. They are readable and reflective. They capture the moments of those days, leaving space for imagination to fill in the gaps before and after. Perhaps this is the charm brought by the difference between continuous motion photography and still-image photography. Gong Li said, "A movie may only be watched once or twice, but a book can be carried with you, placed beside your pillow, and read anytime." A photograph and a book are created for such a simple purpose—to inspire us to keep working and striving.
