Features: This book is another long work by the renowned writer Zhang Chenggong, following his previous novels Black Ice and Black Hole. It is also the final installment in his "Black" series. The story revolves around a business war. Wu Huasheng was saved by "bourgeois counter-revolutionary" Qiao Yilong during the Cultural Revolution. To repay his debt, he founded Yilong Company and formed a bond with the Qiao family, even sharing a life-or-death connection. His loyal brother, Kong Yongang, conspired with the underworld and was about to bring down Yilong Company when Qiao Xiaolong returned from Beijing for graduation. Together with the police chief Liu Yujin, Qiao Xiaolong dismantled Kong's underworld faction. With the appearance of a mysterious masked man, Qiao Xiaolong finds himself torn between his current girlfriend Lin Fei and his ex-girlfriend Zheng Li, enduring immense hardships. Out of desperation, he parts ways with Wu Huasheng and later aligns with the underworld, leading to a tragic rivalry between brothers. The intense conflicts between gratitude and revenge, love and law, reason and desire run throughout the book, making this suspenseful new business war novel a thrilling read full of reflection. Four brothers, once inseparable, become each other's enemies; two women, driven to extremes by love, pursue their passions to the brink; three families, once happy, shatter under the weight of this inescapable dark cloud that hangs over Hua'an City, suffocating every soul longing for fulfillment in an empty world. The city has cracked, human nature has twisted, and minds have warped. Tragedies unfold, their orchestrator, this ever-present dark cloud. The ultimate answers to Black Ice and Black Hole emerge in this final "Black" chorus.
