This book series serves as the self-confession of the atrocities of Japanese war criminals during the invasion of China. The content is objective and truthful, not only providing the Chinese people with a vivid anti-textbook to remember national humiliation and inspire patriotic passion, but also offering the world an objective and truthful record of the crimes of fascist warfare, especially the atrocities of Japanese imperialist aggression against China. It holds significant educational value for adolescents who have not experienced the hardships of the Anti-Japanese War, and helps them understand the aggressive war waged by Japanese imperialism against the Chinese people and the war crimes they committed. It serves as a "paper-based education base" for patriotic education and the history of the Anti-Japanese War for Chinese youth.
To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's Anti-Japanese War and the 60th anniversary of the victory of the World War against Fascism, the "Confessions of Japanese War Criminals Invading China" compiled by the Central Archives, published by China Archives Press, and planned and operated by Sichuan Xinhua Publishing Co., Ltd., will be released. Song Ping serves as the chief consultant for the editorial board of the book.
The "Confessions of Japanese War Criminals Invading China" collects the handwritten confessions of 45 Japanese war criminals from the "World War II" era, who were publicly tried and convicted by the Supreme People's Court of China in 1956, along with photos and images held in the Central Archives. To authentically present the original confessions, the book is printed in full using the original Japanese manuscripts of the confessions and the original Chinese translations made by the Supreme People's Procuratorate at the time, without any.
This is the first time China has systematically published the original confessions of Japanese war criminals who invaded China. The publication of this book provides a real and rich written evidence of the atrocities of the Japanese invasion of China. The book has been listed by the State Press and Publication Administration as part of the "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" national key book publication program.
