Throughout his life, he specialized in civil law while also engaging in legal theory, with numerous works published. His life and scholarship reflect the independent thinking of Chinese legal citizens during the era of Sino-Western interaction. His thoughts and reflections are an important legacy of Chinese legal studies in the 20th century. Moreover, Professor Wang's personal experiences and lifelong pursuits, like many other Chinese legal scholars of his time, are epitomes of the tumultuous and grand tide of the 20th-century Chinese era. Therefore, publishing Professor Wang's posthumous works is not only beneficial for enlightening the younger generation of Chinese scholars but also aims to honor the legal studies of the Chinese language civilization.
