Over the past century, the world's aviation industry has made remarkable progress, exerting an increasingly significant influence on human life and continuing to advance with great momentum. During this period, particularly since the founding of the People's Republic of China, the aviation industry of the author's country has also achieved tremendous development. The author's country's aviation industry, civil aviation sector, and the air forces of the People's Liberation Army's land, naval, and air branches have grown rapidly from nothing to something. Today, the aviation industry of the author's country has made significant strides in terms of overall scale, research and production capacity, the number and quality of aircraft, and more, placing the author's country among the ranks of global aviation powers.
As a retired Air Force pilot with over 30 years of service and a veteran on the research front, the author has had the privilege of experiencing certain segments of the author's country's aviation development, contributing modestly to some key stages as an old soldier. In this memorable year, the author always wanted to do something meaningful. Some colleagues suggested that the author revise and expand previously compiled, internally referenced materials on flight testing, making them publicly available for reference by those interested in the author's country's aviation development and more aviation enthusiasts.
