Picking up this book, I have many thoughts. Summarized, there are three main viewpoints:
1. Practice is the sole criterion for testing truth.
When I was in university, I really enjoyed reading new books. Every time I went to a bookstore to buy books, I would first flip through the copyright page to see which year it was published, and my purchasing principle was to buy the newest! As I grew older and matured, when I had written many books myself, I realized that not all new books are truly "new."
2. The importance and necessity of grammar.
It is self-evident that mastering English is important throughout one's life, but many students lack a sufficient understanding of the importance of grammar in English learning. Many people feel that they have studied a lot of grammar in middle school and have a familiar sense of most grammatical phenomena. Therefore, they lose interest in learning grammar as soon as they hear about it, and some even disdain it.
3. Features and Usage of This Book
This book is presented in the form of lectures, providing a comprehensive summary of key grammatical points in English. The book consists of nineteen lectures, covering all aspects of morphology and syntax.
