Features: Generally, learning and practicing calligraphy starts with copying classic scripts. The goal is to replicate the strokes and structures of the model characters to achieve consistency with the original script. However, if one merely copies by comparing, it may gradually become monotonous and lack interest, as if something is missing in the process. How can we make the relatively monotonous practice of copying more diverse and engaging? We chose to combine copying with creation by selecting model characters from classic scripts, arranging them into phrases that embody the moral standards of past generations, and structuring them into various forms of calligraphy works. This approach aims to combine the practice of classic scripts with the study of composition and layout, making the copying process more enjoyable, more enriching in terms of artistic refinement, and more rewarding in terms of achievement. This book carefully selects model characters to avoid repetition of identical characters in a single work. It adopts a nine-grid format with strong black-and-white contrast, creating the best conditions for beginners to practice copying. For characters not present in the original scripts, we have imitated them, striving to maintain consistency with the original script's style. Each phrase is accompanied by a complete calligraphy work, with diverse forms. Every calligraphy work is accompanied by a composition explanation.
