Features: This book, based on previous research, classifies the structure of qualities from a new perspective. On the foundation of the three major categories—physical qualities, psychological qualities, and scientific-cultural qualities—it proposes that psychological qualities are further divided into intellectual qualities and non-intellectual qualities, while scientific-cultural qualities are divided into knowledge qualities, ideological qualities, and ability qualities. Although qualities mutually influence and interact with each other, some qualities are more significantly influenced by the era, while others are more subject to the influence of innate genetics, and some are more shaped by post-natal cultivation. This makes qualities possess both variability and invariability. For example, scientific-cultural qualities are greatly influenced by post-natal factors, whereas intellectual qualities and non-intellectual qualities are heavily influenced by genetics. This classification holds great significance in quality development, quality assessment, and quality cultivation. In reality, people have varying degrees of self-awareness, especially when taking psychological quality tests. Often, innate tendencies are constrained by post-natal thoughts, particularly by ideological qualities within scientific-cultural qualities. When people, through post-natal experiences, understand societal aesthetics, values, perceptions of right and wrong, and morality, they are less likely to choose options that contradict public standards in psychological quality tests, even if those options genuinely reflect their intentions, as people are reluctant to reveal their innermost secrets. In terms of scientific-cultural qualities, this book still adheres to the views of the 1994-published book Perspectives and Assessments of Qualities, which divides ability qualities into scientific intelligence and social intelligence. Scientific intelligence is the ability formed from books or through interaction with nature, while social intelligence is the quality and ability derived from social practice and cultural contexts. These two types of intelligence demonstrate that successful individuals can emerge from both high-education and low-education strata. This is indeed the case. The division of scientific intelligence and social intelligence, first proposed by the author domestically, has been widely cited in many works, but no true assessment techniques for these two intelligences have yet been developed. From a corporate perspective, high social intelligence is suitable for high-relationship-oriented jobs, while high scientific intelligence is suitable for high-work-oriented careers. In summary, the study of qualities is an evolving field. As the era progresses, it will place even more demands on human qualities, and human qualities will continuously improve and develop qualities yet to exist today. For this reason, the study of qualities is a timeless topic worthy of in-depth exploration. In today's human-centered emphasis, although people are equally important from a value perspective, we must still acknowledge the differences in human qualities and recognize them in practice. This is perhaps why this book chooses corporate managers as its research subjects. Although the author does not fully agree with the view that a company's economic benefits are primarily created by 20% of its employees, the author still acknowledges that due to factors such as the system and individual qualities, managers' qualities play a crucial role in companies, sometimes an immeasurable one. Therefore, the study of managers' qualities and their assessment is a vital topic in quality assessment.
